Slurry Systems Pty
Limited (SlurrySystems) conceptualised, designed and commissioned the World's first
successful, fixed, automatic sands bypassing system, at Nerang on Queensland's Gold Coast
in 1985. |
| Since Nerang, SlurrySystems have undertaken considerable research and
development towards a more efficient and cost effective means of bypassing sand. The
culmination of this research is the Submarine Sand Shifter. |

The Submarine Sand Shifter is based on a fluidising principle which allows
sand to be recovered from below the sea floor over a horizontal distance of 20 to 40
metres. |
